Biography

1/51264th of a year, 1/144th of a day, 600 seconds...
10 minutes might seem insignificant for most people, but for these guys it was the start of something great. In 2002 Jeroen Hazeu, Jeroen van 't Hart and Christian Wiegman decided to buy their first guitars. Some months went by until they found the time to play some songs toghether. A new band was formed. The band had no name, drummer or singer and could hardly play anything, but at least they had fun doing it. At the lowlands festival of 2002 the band was still pondering over the band's name. That day they noticed that every train, bus and taxi was delayed for exactly 10 minutes. When even the gate at the festival opened 10 minutes later than it should have, they finally had a name for the band.

Still, the band did not have a drummer or a singer. Fortunately Jeroen van 't Hart knew a guy from his new school that played the drums. Sander practiced some songs with the band and became their drummer. At that time all they did was play punk rock covers. They got bored soon thereafter and started to point their attention to writing their own material. Jeroen van 't Hart couldn't fit the band in his busy schedule and eventually decided to quit. Some months later the band found a replacement. Beginning guitarplayer Reinier was more than happy to join the band. They continued writing songs while desperately trying to find a singer.

In november of 2004 the one spot that had been empty since the very beginning was filled. Thijs Rieken joined the band as the singer. With their line-up finally complete, the band started working on their first demo. Some things however, don't work out how they're supposed to and one month later, the band was once again one man short. Thijs left and the band had to find a vocalist, again...

After struggeling to find a new singer and finding time to write new material and practise, the band finally threw in the towel in oktober of 2005. With this hard decision being made, 10 Minutes is officially no more and it's members have moved on to other projects and bands...
